Hi, In recent workshops, I've been showing people screencastify. This video will show you how to quickly access your Google Classroom classes, as well as your team member's classes. This is the same practise I use to access regularly used docs /folders on google drive and external websites. You must be signed in to your school account to access this video.

Google Classroom - Archive classes and reusing posts.

This quick guide will show you how to remove students, then archive classes you no longer need.  There is also instruction on how to reuse old activities/posts from the archived classes.  Removing Students 3.  Archiving 1.  2.  3.  Reusing posts from Archived Classes Then select the class, post you want to reuse then change the date due, etc to your liking. Hope this helps

Google classroom - Make a assignment copy for all students

In Google classroom, you can easily make a copy for each student This will make a copy for them automatically and adds their name to the document title. Step one… Click the plus then click create assignment  Step 2: add a title and select the classes / students you wish to assign to, add a topic and instructions, due dates if you wish, then click on the paperclip… then click recent if it's a google drive file and select it, you may need to search for it if it's not recent. Step 3: Attach another if you wish then you can alter the View edit (edit one file as a group)  or make a copy for each student (see below)…  then click assign, hit the dropdown next to assign if you wish to schedule the assignment.  Happy Googling

Reset Password for CHQ Activities

Students and parents can reset the password for a CHQ account (used for registering for student activities). Navigate to  https://seasia.mychq.net/Login.aspx?club=449 Click on the link "Forgotten your User Id or Password" On the next screen enter the email address of the parent. Check your email, including SPAM, for a message from CHQ which will contain a 5 digit code. Enter the code in the box and a screen will be loaded where you can rest parents and student passwords for the account. Click save and you will see a message saying the change was successful, but the password reset screen will also reload. Use the menu button top right to return to the login screen The ECA, Primary and IT Offices are  can assist with any issues with access to CHQ.

Google Drive- Creating Shortcuts to Files and Folders  This will allow documents and files to be in 2 locations in google drive (shortcuts).  If you change the document / folder in 1 location, the changes will be replicated in the other location(s). Keys: Shift and Z (you can also hold the option key when dragging (this will create a green plus icon to show it is being added, not moved)

Doctopus & Google Drive Setting folders and Assignments

Doctopus provides a great add-on for google drive to quickly set up  folders for your classes. It also allows you to easily send assignments that will automatically appear in your students drive folders. It also can add a grading rubric for easy marking. Hapara - Smart Share files with students.
